About the role

Job Title : Aircraft Equipment Quality Technician

Location : Onsite in Seattle, WA

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the aerospace industry, or experience in medical devices and electrical systems.

Required Qualification

  • Conduct inspections in accordance with specifications.
  • Verify completion of assigned tasks and adherence to work instructions.
  • Review drawings and assess physical conditions.
  • Perform line inspections, including incoming inspections and inspection of parts to specifications.
  • Generate non-conforming reports, detailing failures and measurements as required.
  • Assign each part a conformity ticket, ensuring correct identification numbers and traceability to raw materials.
  • Collaborate with Inventory/Shipping teams to address any missed parts.
  • Capture and report relevant metrics.
  • Maintain or execute the calibration program by submitting tickets to suppliers.
  • Enter data from tools into various systems.
  • Weekly reporting of metrics in team meetings.
  • 80% of the time spent on other tasks.
  • Utilize IPC certifications (20% of the time).
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for investigating failures.
  • Industry experience, preferably in aerospace.
  • Demonstrate ownership of goals and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience identifying Root Cause in failures.
  • Strong written/communication skillset as there is a lot of documentation.

Preferred Qualification

  • IPC 620 standard certification.
  • Familiarity with IPC 610 soldering standards is nice to have.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $50,000 to $60,000 USD annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
