About Our Client:

Addison Group is working with a growing consulting firm in downtown Washington, DC, to find an Office Assistant to support their expanding office space. This role is ideal for a highly organized, customer-service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

The Office Assistant will be responsible for front desk reception, office coordination, and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with various teams and external visitors. The position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and handling main phone lines
  • Oversee office security, including issuing and managing access fobs and badges
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, process service requests, and liaise with property management
  • Maintain inventory for office supplies and kitchen essentials, ensuring a well-stocked workspace
  • Process invoices and expense reports related to office operations
  • Schedule and coordinate conference room reservations, troubleshooting AV equipment as needed
  • Support IT-related needs, such as managing office equipment inventory and troubleshooting minor issues
  • Organize mail distribution, package handling, and courier shipments
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including setting up access credentials and coordinating workspace assignments
  • Support office events, meetings, and catering needs

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in office administration, front desk, or customer service roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general technical aptitude
  • Fluency in Spanish (required for communication with key office personnel)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, personable, and adaptable to working with a variety of personalities
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Additional Details:

  • Start Date: March 2025
  • Contract Length: At least 3 months, with a strong potential for permanent hire
  • Interview Process: Multiple rounds, including virtual and onsite interviews with office leadership
  • Location: Downtown Washington, DC (655 15th St NW)
  • Hours: 40 hours/week (some flexibility available)
