Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Support research activities through the preparation, handling, and analysis of biological samples including microbial, or environmental materials.
• Perform a variety of laboratory tasks such as sample weighing, microscopy, staining, culturing, and basic physiological or biochemical assessments.
• Assist with the setup and monitoring of experiments in laboratory and controlled environments.
• Record detailed observations, measurements, and results following established scientific protocols.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and workspaces in clean and operational condition.
• Collect and organize data using lab notebooks and basic digital tools for analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with research staff to support ongoing studies and contribute to experimental planning and troubleshooting.
• Follow all lab safety procedures and contribute to a safe and organized laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience; academic research or internships may be considered.
• Familiarity with general biology lab techniques such as microscopy, culturing, PCR, dissection, or physiological measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow written protocols and document results.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with Excel or similar tools for data entry and analysis.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, organized approach to lab work.
