Title: CAE Engineer
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Duration: Long Term Contract
Position Description:
Typical Tasks
• Meshing – Sheet metal, Resin and solid parts
• Model build coordination and model assembly
• Pre-processing
o Adding or replacing parts in LS-dyna.
o Connecting parts, updating spotwelds adding or updating contacts
o Adding or updating data outputs, such as cross sections, accelerometers
o Following client procedures for moving or positioning client Dummy models and seats.
• Submitting simulations with client internal process and software
• Post-processing / analyzing CAE results.
o Creating reports of work
o Communicating results to design engineers and team.
o Negotiating countermeasures with TMNA R&D and TMC design engineers.
Description of support by Client
• Client will provide CAE equipment, software and licenses
o Workstation
o Software and licenses
o HPC and LS-dyna
• Task guidance, scheduling
Requirements:
• Qualifications of CAE engineering support team members.
• Minimum of 2 years of Crash Safety CAE experience with LS-Dyna. Front or Side impact experience is ideal.
• Strong analysis capabilities
• Experience with Pre and Post processing tools. Ideally:
o Oasys Primer
o ANSA or Hypermesh
o GNS-mbH Animator
o Excel
