Job Description

About the Company

PreemptiveAI is an AI-driven healthcare company pioneering a new era of truly proactive medicine. For too long, healthcare has been reactive—relying on occasional checkups and waiting for symptoms to appear. We believe it’s time for continuous, anticipatory care that identifies challenges before they become crises, freeing clinicians to focus on what truly matters: improving lives. Our team is dedicated to building innovative AI solutions that deliver tangible benefits to healthcare providers and patients alike, and we’re looking for a strategic thinker and operational powerhouse to join our leadership team.

About the Role

As Chief of Staff at PreemptiveAI, you will act as a force multiplier for the CEO and executive team. You will turn priorities into projects, keep teams aligned, and clear obstacles before they slow us down. It’s a hands-on position: some weeks you’ll be writing an investor update or building a dashboard; others, you’ll be in the field making sure new operations run on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Critical Projects – Own priority initiatives end-to-end, from scoping to “done.”
  • Operate in the Field – Travel when needed to make sure new operations and partnerships run smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot Fast – Identify issues early, resolve them on the spot, and backfill a long-term fix.
  • Document & Teach – Convert your solutions into clear SOPs and train teammates to scale them.
  • Keep Leadership Aligned – Provide concise, actionable updates—what’s complete, what’s blocked, what’s next.

Qualifications

  • 2–8 years owning critical projects in resource-constrained, high-tempo settings—e.g., early-stage startup operator, launch lead in healthcare/logistics, client-facing ops consultant racing brutal deadlines, or frontline military officer—any role where success meant figuring it out and shipping fast.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results with limited oversight and resources.
  • Strong, direct written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable with basic productivity and collaboration tools; quick to learn new systems.
  • Willing and able to travel for short stints when on-site presence is the fastest path to results.
  • Education BA/BS

Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.

Leadership: Demonstrated track record of influencing and leading without formal authority.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in healthcare or logistics environments.
  • Spanish or other second-language proficiency.

Why Join PreemptiveAI

  • High-Impact Role: You’ll be part of the leadership team, shaping the strategic direction of our rapidly growing startup.
  • Innovative Environment: Work alongside passionate team members who are pushing the boundaries of AI.
  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for career advancement, leadership development, and continuous learning.
  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and equity package commensurate with your experience.
