Job Description

The 8th Judicial District, Wyoming County Drug Court, is seeking a detail-oriented Case Manager I to join the Problem-Solving Courts team. This position will primarily be assigned to the Drug Court.

This position involves working directly with substance-abusing defendants, providing vital support and guidance to help them successfully navigate the program and reintegrate into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interview participants to assess their needs and determine appropriate services.
• Refer participants to psychological, medical, and counseling services as needed.
• Conduct psycho-social evaluations and prepare detailed reports.
• Monitor participant compliance with court-ordered programs and recommend sanctions when necessary.
• Make preliminary case recommendations to the court based on participant progress.
• Assess participants' progress in the program and determine ongoing service needs.
• Prepare clients for discharge to the community.
• Administer court-mandated drug testing for participants.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Travel to various locations may be required to meet participants' needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards;

or

Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards;

or

An equivalent combination of education and experience.
