About Our Client

Our client is a well-established and growing Commercial General Contractor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Known for their commitment to quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships, they specialize in delivering complex commercial projects across sectors including office, mixed-use, retail, education, and healthcare. With a strong pipeline of multi-million dollar projects, they are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team.

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role involves managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships, while working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of commercial construction projects, from planning through completion
  • Lead preconstruction planning, budgeting, and schedule development
  • Coordinate with field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals
  • Track project costs, manage change orders, and maintain budget integrity
  • Oversee RFI and submittal processes and ensure project documentation is up to date
  • Maintain strong client communication and provide regular progress updates
  • Ensure safety, quality control, and compliance with all project specifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Proven success managing multi-million dollar commercial projects (ground-up and renovations)
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA 30 certification a plus
