About the Job:
We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering and DevOps team, with a primary focus on Kubernetes, GKE, and OpenShift cluster management and CI/CD pipeline automation. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and continuous delivery workflows that enable rapid, reliable software releases. You will work closely with development, QA, and security teams to build self-service capabilities, enforce best practices, and ensure our container platforms are secure, scalable, and highly available.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery & Automation (70%)

• Architect, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Argo CD or equivalent), including automated testing, security scanning, and canary/blue-green deployments
• Define and manage infrastructure via Terraform (or gcloudCLI) and configuration management with Ansible, ensuring environments are versioned, repeatable, and cost-optimized
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk or Cloud Native) to track cluster health, SLIs/SLOs, and drive capacity planning
• Integrate secrets management (Vault) and vulnerability scanning (Snyk, Clair, Trivy, SonarQube) into build and deployment workflows to enforce DevSecOps policies. Knowledge of deploying/integrating OPA policies.
• Automate cluster lifecycle operations—including upgrades, scaling, and failover—to maintain high availability

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement (30%)
• Partner with development, QA, and security teams to remove bottlenecks, share knowledge, and evangelize platform-as-a-service standards
• Mentor junior engineers, deliver training sessions, and author documentation for self-service infrastructure and deployment tools
• Participate in architecture reviews, release planning, and incident response, driving root-cause analysis and remediation
• Evaluate and integrate new tools or practices to continuously improve efficiency, reliability, and security of our delivery processes

Requirements:

Required Experience:
• 3+ years in a DevOps, platform, or cloud-engineering role with demonstrable Kubernetes/OpenShift expertise
• Hands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Argo CD or similar
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Strong Linux administration skills and scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby or similar)
• Familiarity with container networking, storage, and security fundamentals

Preferred Experience:
• GitOps practices and tools (Flux, Argo CD)
• Public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and hybrid deployment models
• Service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) and microservices architecture
• Working within regulated environments (PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2)

Required Certification & Licensure:
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate or equivalent

Preferred Certification & Licensure:
• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration

Knowledge & Skills:
• Container Platforms: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker/CRI-O
• CI/CD Tools: Argo CD, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
• IaC & CM: Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kustomize
• Monitoring & Logging: Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
• Security: Vault, CrowdStrike, network policies, pod security standards
• Other: Git workflows, Helm Charts, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu), REST APIs

Abilities:
• Collaborate effectively across development, operations, and security teams
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Apply sound judgment when architecting scalable, reliable solutions

Benefits:
