Director, Biostatistics - Permanent - Maryland, US

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will drive statistical strategies and technical activities, contributing to the development of life-changing medicines. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across functions, mentor team members, and influence decision-making processes.

Skills & Requirements:

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong statistical component.
• Proven ability to independently lead statistical strategies and projects.
• Extensive experience in clinical trials and statistical methodologies.
• Strong technical expertise and ability to oversee multiple studies.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python.
• Experience in vaccine therapeutic areas or similar fields is a plus.
• Strong project management and collaboration skills.

The Director of Biostatistics' responsibilities will be:

• Guarantee high-quality statistical content in study designs, documentation, data delivery, interpretation, and submissions.
• Quantify and communicate the benefit-risk profile, value, and uncertainty of emerging product profiles.
• Provide leadership to internal and external statistical teams, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
• Partner with CROs to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
• Represent statistical strategy at internal governance meetings and external engagements, including health authorities, advisory boards, and conferences.
• Stay updated on statistical methodologies and implement innovative approaches as needed.
• Mentor and support the technical development of statistical staff.

Compensation:

• $205,000 to $214,000 per annum.
