JOB PURPOSE:
Princeton Theological Seminary seeks a Director of Admissions to provide strategic leadership and
effective management of our recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes. The successful
candidate will be a dynamic, caring, and data-driven leader who is passionate about the mission of
Princeton Seminary, embodies our values, and has deep knowledge and expertise related to best
practices in higher ed. admissions, trends in graduate theological education, recruitment for programs
across various modalities (residential, hybrid/online), and effective enrollment management.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management, the Director of
Admissions plays a critical role in stewarding the mission of the Seminary and leading a skilled
admissions team in recruiting, admitting, enrolling each outstanding incoming class and cohort.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategic Planning & Team Leadership
• Under the leadership of the Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment
Management, oversee admissions operations and enrollment tactics for all
degree programs, in alignment with the Seminary’s mission and strategic plan
• Lead the admissions and recruitment team, providing direction and oversight,
supervising staff, and nurturing a culture of collegiality, excellence, and
learning
• In collaboration with the Marketing and Communication team, develop,
implement, and measure a comprehensive marketing and communication
strategy for recruitment and admissions
40% of time
Admissions Operations
• Serve on the Admissions Committee, International Admissions Subcommittee,
and Scholarship Committee, including reviewing applications and interviewing
candidates; provide guidance and timely information to these committees to
advise their work in accord with the enrollment strategy
• In collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment
Management and Director of Student Financial Services, ensure that the
financial aid program is effectively administered and serves the Seminary’s
mission and strategic plan
• Develop strong partnerships with faculty and colleagues across the Seminary
to effectively recruit, admit, and enroll students
• Provide oversight for the recruitment and admissions budget

Analytics & Reporting
• Facilitate data-driven decision making in implementing and evaluating the
Seminary’s enrollment management strategies; clearly align goals and metrics;
regularly report on progress and provide real-time data to inform the
recruitment strategy and admissions process
20% of time

OTHER FUNCTIONS: Serves as requested on committees, task forces and community groups; partners
with standing committees, and organizations in the region to share best practices and build
partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
CREDENTIALS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree (MDiv or similar master’s degree preferred)
• Demonstrated skills in leadership with an established track record of managing a team
effectively to advance priorities and meet strategic goals
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
• Strong proficiency working with a CRM, Office 365, Zoom, Monday, and other admissions and
enrollment management tools
• Adaptable social skills and cultural competencies; social and emotional maturity
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills
• Critical discernment & decision-making skills
• Expertise in strategic enrollment management planning and data analysis skills to drive decision
making
• Knowledge of Princeton Theological Seminary and similar institutions; deep familiarity with the
landscape of theological education and emerging trends in higher education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Experience in theological education
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in admissions, recruitment, or enrollment
management
• Strong proficiency in Slate CRM
