Job Description

Prominent national law firm located in Rockville, MD is seeking a bright, recent college graduate with solid academics for an entry level paralegal position supporting our litigation department.

This position is temp to hire, temporary period is 90 days, it will then convert to a permanent position with full benefits. 

MUST be able to commit for at least one year. Position starts immediately.

Schedule/Hours:

9am -5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Work will be in-office during the initial 4 week training period then will convert to a hybrid role; 3 days/week in-office, 2 days/week remote.

Compensation:

Pay rate: $18/hour temporary period, $40,000 plus benefits. Free parking, short connector ride from the Rockville metro station.

Duties:

Assist attorneys with complex civil litigation document and workflow procedures, review documents in a custom-built database in order to extract information and input the same into the database. Maintain measured workflow expectations. Excellent customer service and communication skills. 4-year degree required, however no previous work experience is required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Review documents in a custom-built database in order to extract information and input the same into the database
  • Legal research of ongoing legal cases and matters
  • Responsible for updating various law firm lists and logs; and keeping vendor information up to date
  • Assist with coding legal documents and sending all legal A/P invoices to DC office for payment
  • Assist Administrative Attorney with maintenance of all administrative files
  • May Learn MMSEA filing req, executive quarterly filing, and update client legal database Medicare fields as needed
