BCForward is currently seeking a highly motivated Environment Artist 3 for an opportunity with our

Client

Role: Environment Artist 3

Location: Redmond, WA (100% Onsite)

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Candidate Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 5 years of overall industry experience

“Looking for resources who has experience in the entertainment industry (Games/Film) At least One AAA title shipped, Experience using related software and packages (e.g., Photoshop, Blender, Unreal Engine, Maya, Substance Designer/Painter/Zbrush, SideFX Houdini, After Effects), A collaborative growth mindset, open to giving and receiving constructive criticism on a daily basis, and strong verbal and written communication”.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. 2 years of experience with environmental storytelling and environmental design

2. Minimum 1 year of experience working with Unreal

3. Minimum 1 year Experience with knowledge of game content and game content creation

Candidate Requirements:

• It’s not a management role nor a reporting one.
• Hands on Environment experience , portfolio is required, and their work must be seen in their portfolio.
• Good to have a character artist but not a concept artist .
• Top 3 skills – Communications, environmental experiences , focused more on the work with the team .
• 60 % work is more on outsource and 40 % with the internal team .
• 100% work must be done internally, executing long time of work .
• Sci- fi(preferred), Workflow, substantial tools (mandatory)
• Help faction styles , Quick learner , best way to understand & skills to complete tasks .
• Unreal engine experience is good to have.
• Comfortable with the early and late meetings and coordinate with other offshore teams .
• Autodesk tools are a big plus as they are used as feedback tools.
• Bio exp , Texture , different types of matter – Level building/word building

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

• Professional experience in art design or a related field within computer games or entertainment.
• Knowledge of game content and game content creation processes.
• Experience working in Unreal Engine.
• Experience communicating art direction to asset creation and world-building teams.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
