Role Overview

The Facilities Supervisor supports technical operations and ensures safety, quality control, training, and documentation for Amentum employees in a fast-paced industrial setting. You’ll prioritize work based on client needs and ensure tasks are completed on time and documented properly.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and document facility maintenance using Maximo/SAP systems
• Assign corrective/reactive maintenance tasks to technicians
• Lead safety initiatives and maintain related reports
• Conduct audits for safety and work quality, offering coaching as needed
• Review job requests and determine scope of work
• Manage team performance and approve timekeeping
• Prepare and present reports to management and clients
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and conduct root cause analyses
• Train and cross-train employees
• Handle scheduling, planning, and documentation
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or trade school credentials preferred
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, cranes, etc.
• Experience in employee training and performance metrics
• Skilled in presentations and using PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Lean practices like Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S

Work Conditions & Requirements

• Must wear required PPE (e.g., steel-toe shoes, gloves, hard hat)
• Able to handle physical tasks including climbing, bending, stretching
• Ability to walk throughout the facility regularly
• Must pass a substance abuse test and may need a valid driver's license
• Security clearance badge required for site access
• Willing to work various shifts, weekends, holidays as needed
• Comfortable using computers and standard office equipment
• Friendly and professional communication under pressure
• Ability to lift light to medium materials
