Job Title: General Clerk – Office Relocation Support (Onsite Only)

Location: Austin, TX 78704

Contract Length: 4 Months

Pay Rate: $22.80/hr

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:

We are seeking a General Clerk to support a temporary office relocation in Austin, TX. This is a fully onsite role and an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will assist in packing, moving, and unpacking office contents and provide general clerical support as needed throughout the transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing the office for relocation by packing files, supplies, and equipment
  • Support post-move activities, including unpacking and organizing the new office space
  • Perform general clerical duties such as:
  • Paper filing and scanning documents
  • Mail distribution and faxing
  • Document copying, collation, and assembly
  • Basic data entry and word processing
  • Managing simple spreadsheets
  • Answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Collaborate with administrative and project support teams as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies during the transition

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of office experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Strong grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
  • Excellent reading comprehension and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems independently
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and customer service-oriented

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
