Job Description

Payrate: $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

• GitHub Enterprise Implementation & Maintenance Initial Setup: Deploying and configuring GitHub Enterprise for an organization, including user management, repository structures, and permissions Ongoing Maintenance: Ensuring continuous health of the system, applying updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring security patches are applied Version Control Optimization: Working with development teams to optimize Git workflows, branching strategies, and merging/review processes
• CI/CD Integration Automating Workflows: Integrating GitHub Enterprise with existing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to enable automated testing, deployment, and version control Optimizing Automation: Improving existing pipelines and automating repetitive tasks, reducing friction in the development lifecycle
• Security & Compliance Access Control: Implementing and managing security best practices for GitHub Enterprise (e.g., user roles, SSO, and multi-factor authentication) Audit & Compliance: Ensuring the platform meets required compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.), maintaining proper access logs, and performing regular audits Code Scanning: Implementing automated code scanning tools for security vulnerabilities (e.g., GitHub Advanced Security or third-party solutions)
• Troubleshooting & Support Issue Resolution: Addressing GitHub-related issues for users and development teams (e.g., permission problems, integration issues, performance problems) User Training: Creating documentation and training materials to help teams effectively use GitHub Enterprise, troubleshoot minor issues independently, and adopt best practices Escalation & Support: Providing second-level technical support and escalating critical issues to appropriate channels 5. Project Management & Continuous Improvement

Must have Skills:

• GitHub Enterprise Administration: Deep experience managing users, repos, permissions, and enterprise-level configurations
• Git & Version Control: Strong command of Git fundamentals, branching strategies, and troubleshooting
• Automation & CI/CD: Proficiency in creating and managing GitHub Actions workflows; integrating GitHub with CI/CD tools Security
• Best Practices: Knowledge of access control, secrets management, and secure code handling within GitHub Scripting Skills: Practical experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation and tooling
• Problem Solving & Support: Ability to troubleshoot performance, access, and integration issues; user training and documentation
• Communication & Collaboration: Clear written/verbal communication and experience working cross-functionally with dev teams

• Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers, DevOps, security, and compliance teams to align workflows and resolve issues

• Project Management: Organizational skills to manage upgrades, migrations, and integration projects with minimal oversight

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is : $60.00 - $65.00/hr . Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid days off based on tenure, up to 40 hours paid sick time, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
