Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Georgia (Hybrid – On-site required Tuesday to Thursday, and for mandatory meetings)

Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level

Experience Required: 5+ Years

Certifications Required: PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Position Summary:

Seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of IT project planning, execution, and delivery. The primary focus will be on IT operations and infrastructure modernization , with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity compliance and stakeholder collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading cross-functional teams , managing IT resources, and executing projects using Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies. This role involves both project management and business analysis responsibilities , including stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Define project scopes and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Monitor and track project performance using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow.
• Escalate issues, manage project risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present project reports and status updates to leadership.
• Foster collaboration and open communication across teams.
• Serve as a key contributor to the PMO group and support other project managers.

Business Analysis:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Map and document current and future-state business processes and workflows.
• Work closely with development teams to align implementation with business goals.
• Conduct UAT and ensure alignment of deliverables with business needs.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working across state agencies such as DHS, DPH, GTA, and IV&V.
• Hands-on involvement in IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and app development.
• Familiarity with CAPS Business Processes and Gateway Integrations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure modernization and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, HIPAA).
• Proficiency with project management tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Asana.
• Deep understanding of ITSM and incident/problem management processes.
• Expertise in business and functional documentation: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases.
• Strong skills in risk management, change control, and team leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio.

Work Location & Attendance Requirements:

• Must reside in Georgia .
• Required on-site presence : Tuesday through Thursday, plus mandatory in-person meetings (All Hands, Enterprise Applications, etc.).
• Remote work flexibility on non-mandated days, subject to management discretion.
