Job Description

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s client is seeking an experienced and agile Interim Director of Legal Operations to join their dynamic legal department. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role with an immediate start. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation and ongoing management of key legal technologies and operational processes—ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalable support for their fast-growing renewable energy business.

Overview : Director of Legal Operations (Interim w/ possible conversion to FTE in 2026)

Company: Leading renewable energy company based in Dallas, TX.

Experience: 5+ years experience

Location: Hybrid Schedule (Dallas, TX)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end deployment of a new contract lifecycle management (CLM) system – working with existing consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with legal, IT, and business stakeholders to define workflows
• Develop and manage departmental budgets
• Own system maintenance, user training, and continuous improvement
• Optimization of Legal Tracker billing software
• Serve as liaison with vendors and internal teams for troubleshooting and upgrades
• Collect and analyze operational data to deliver actionable insights
• Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration
• Drive continuous process improvement and change management
• Apply project management best practices to streamline legal workflow

Qualifications:

• Deep familiarity with CLM systems and Legal Tracker or comparable billing tools
• Strong background in budgeting, metrics, reporting, and legal technology evaluation
• Expertise in project management methodologies and process improvement strategies
• Legal Operations experience preferred – all backgrounds (JD, Legal Ops, Paralegal, Business) will be considered
