As an Associate, you will play a pivotal role in executing high-profile transactions, structuring complex financings, and engaging directly with elite clients across sports, film, and entertainment. We are actively advising ~25 professional sports enterprises across 14 leagues, financing 5 feature films, and partnering with some of the largest music empires—all with an average IOI turnaround of ~1 week.

This is investment banking at the highest level—where financial strategy meets cultural impact. From stadium financings and franchise acquisitions to media rights securitization and athlete wealth structuring, we are executing deals that traditional banks can’t touch.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and execute highly complex financial models, including valuation analysis, projection models, leveraged buyouts, and bespoke capital structures across M&A transactions, capital raises, and restructuring mandates for sports franchises, media rights deals, athlete investment portfolios, and sponsorship transactions.
• Lead the development of elite transaction materials, including Pitch Decks, Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), offering memoranda, and regulatory filings, ensuring precision and deal-winning execution.
• Manage full-cycle transaction processes, serving as the primary liaison between internal deal teams and external counterparties, including institutional investors, team owners, governing leagues, hedge funds, and private equity firms.
• Contribute to the execution of fairness opinions, valuation reports, and complex advisory mandates, ensuring every recommendation meets the rigor of tier-one investment banking standards.
• Conduct deep-dive market intelligence research, analyzing league economics, media rights valuations, sponsorship landscapes, and proprietary investment opportunities in sports and entertainment finance.

Qualifications

Education/Licenses :

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
• A minimum of a Series 7 license is required; a Series 79 license is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, valuation techniques, PitchBook, and Bloomberg Terminal Familiarity with other investment banking data services such as CapitalIQ is a plus.

Experience:

• 1+ years of experience working in an investment banking firm, private equity, or a sports finance division, with exposure to M&A, capital raises, restructuring, and general advisory services. 
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage workstreams and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding, high-stakes setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• A self-starter with the ability to work in teams, take initiative, and drive their career forward in investment banking.
