Summary:
Responsible for organizing, handling, and following maintenance needs for machinery and equipment, as well as the facility and worksites.
General Maintenance 70%
· Maintain production and lab machinery and equipment in proper working condition by performing regular, preventive, and extraordinary maintenance (electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
· Diagnose and analyze problems, implement solutions, perform repairs whenever required and verify effectiveness.
· Contact external maintenance sources when strictly required.
· Complete equipment maintenance logs and keep accurate records of repairs done, routine maintenance procedures completed and items that required the work.
· Follow and organize purchasing of necessary tools, equipment, and material for the workshop.
· Negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
· Maintain a clean and tidy work area: clean up after jobs
Equipment Management 15%
· In accordance with management, evaluate and plan machinery or equipment purchases, including technical requirements in terms of specifications, based on the needs of the production, with the aim to optimize the production itself.
· Properly store the manuals provided by plant and machinery manufacturers.
· Follow the installation and set-up of new machinery and equipment and assist any outside personnel.
· Instruct and train workers on proper operation of installed machines.
Management and Training 15%
· Set priorities and delegate tasks and projects to direct reports
· Train and develop direct reports in application knowledge, SAP, and standard processes and procedures within the department
Prepare and present APA’s to direct reports and have frequent feedback sessions to assess performance and set goals
Qualifications
Required
· Forklift license and experience
· Ability to delegate tasks
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· 5+ years of maintenance or journeyman experience
· ability to disassemble and reassemble
· Mechanical aptitude
Preferred
· Trade or technical certificates
· Basic electrical knowledge
· Plumbing experience
