Manufacturing Production Associate

We are seeking a Manufacturing Production Associate who is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, ensuring on-time delivery, managing internal workflows, and communicating with customers regarding production schedules. Shift

Day Shift (7:00AM – 5:00PM, Mon - Fri)

Location

Alsip, IL

Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000 Per year

Key Responsibilities

Regularly Scheduled Tasks:

· Communicate daily with supervisors to align on job priorities, address roadblocks, and provide necessary support.

· Manage On-Time Delivery by coordinating with the shipment schedule.

· Work with our secondary department and Procurement to determine which jobs should be sent to subcontracting.

· Check in with the inspection lab to help prioritize workload, including FAIs (First Article Inspection), special documentation, and 100% CMM runs.

· Handle monthly customer reporting requirements, ensuring data accuracy and timely submissions.

· Work with team to coordinate manual operations and fixturing.

· Oversee night shift operations, including coordination with Night shift supervisor and team.

Customer-Related Activities:

· Develop plans to recover from production delays by collaborating with the Plant Manager, Master Scheduler, and Supervisors. If delays are unavoidable, proactively notify customers.

· Manage customer job pull-in requests, evaluating feasibility with the production team and providing updates on ship dates and quantity adjustments.

· Ensure the Master Scheduler updates production calendars to reflect customer changes, including job pushouts.

· Assist in handling expedite fees as directed by Plant Manager.

Internal Activities:

· Support the engineering team with quote lead times, ensuring adequate information is available and working with Master Scheduler to integrate jobs into the production schedule.

· Assess department workloads with supervisors and Master Scheduler, adjusting as needed to prevent bottlenecks and ensure a balanced workflow.

· Address part-related issues by collaborating with the larger team to determine feasibility of fixes, making decisions on shipments and remakes with Plant Manager, and notifying customers as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Experience in manufacturing or production coordination is preferred.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.

· Proficiency in scheduling and workflow management.

· Customer service experience and ability to effectively communicate job statuses.

· Knowledge of quality control processes and documentation requirements.

Work Environment:

· Fast-paced manufacturing setting with regular interaction across multiple departments.

· Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of materials.

· Daily use of computers and production scheduling software.
