Ongoing Need for Senior Backend Java Developers

Onsite in Manassas VA/In-Person Interview Required

12 months+ contracts

w2, 1099 or ctc

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Developers to join our development team.

• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs.
• You should have a strong background in Java and related technologies, with a deep understanding of backend architecture, system design, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and related technologies.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to integrate systems and deliver features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and providing technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and help define backend development strategies.
• Ensure secure coding practices and assist with vulnerability remediation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Proficiency in Java (Java 8 or newer) and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
• Solid understanding of multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
