Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing facility. This role involves developing and implementing quality control processes, monitoring compliance with industry regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality.

JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Lead collaboration between the external customers and suppliers and the internal Quality team to address needs, issues and production concerns in a Just-In-Time production environment.
  • Drive a Quality Mindset throughout all levels of the facility
  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures including the implementation of Quality Management Systems based on ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the product approval process for new programs and engineering changes to assure on time customer approval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality control practices and procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality performance to senior management.
  • Ensure on-time maintenance, calibration and MSA of all measuring equipment on the production floor and quality lab

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for sponsorship or transfer of Visa now or in the future.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Core Quality tools training and expert knowledge
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing quality management systems and achieving certification.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Strong ability to influence others to drive engagement and compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality control software and tools, such as Minitab or QI Macros.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
