DoD must be US Citizen- 2nd Shift Senior Supervisor Direct Hire opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

Daily Planning, Execution, and Area Management:

• Perform pre-shift task planning and prioritization activities to successfully execute the Production Plan.
• Facilitate shift start-up meetings to communicate the Production Plan and ensure each team member understands their role.
• Monitor team members and resources throughout the shift to maintain workflow and lead problem-solving when performance lags.
• Ensure compliance with systems, policies, and procedures.
• Establish effective team communication practices among team members and between shifts.
• Report actions, issues, and status for each production plan task in end-of-shift summaries.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, production planning, and communication skills.
• Experience with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S techniques.
• Knowledge and familiarity with standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.).
• Ability to work beyond scheduled shift when required.

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Previous Motor Manufacturing experience strongly desired.
• Experience with Mechanical Assembly desired.

Team Management, Growth, and Performance:

• Maintain required staffing levels by selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Communicate job performance standards to each direct employee and appraise team members relative to standards.
• Maintain accurate qualification level records for each team member within the versatility matrix and retain all the required training documentation.
• Collaborate with each employee to develop growth plans and provide reasonable opportunities to facilitate the plan.

Department Administration & Metrics:

• Understand team metrics and the root causes for any misses. Implement corrective actions.
• Ensure team members understand department performance goals, work area metrics, and actual team performance.
• Perform administrative duties in support of direct team members; timekeeping, voucher approvals, personnel records, etc.
