Job Description

The Senior Director of Strategic Business Systems is a key leadership role within the IT organization, serving as a senior subject matter expert on core business systems such as home health platforms, utilization management applications, and core claims systems. This role is responsible for developing deep functional and technical expertise and providing strategic insights and recommendations regarding the business systems landscape.

Working closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders, the Senior Director will help define the technology components of business strategy. This role acts as a true business partner, understanding operational needs and educating stakeholders on how technology—including automation and generative AI—can drive efficiency and cost savings.

The Senior Director will collaborate closely with the Strategic Initiatives team (PMO), providing critical system knowledge to inform the portfolio roadmap and support project execution. Strong communication skills are essential, as this individual must effectively articulate complex system concepts and provide realistic, actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate will leverage deep business systems, process, and industry knowledge to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, while embodying values such as service, accountability, integrity, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing business systems, preferably within healthcare or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic technology initiatives and collaborating with operational stakeholders to improve business processes.
  • Proven expertise with business systems such as claims platforms, home health solutions, or utilization management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience evaluating and recommending new technologies or solutions to drive business efficiency and operational improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing vendor relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
