🚨 Staff Systems Engineer – Surgical Robotics 🚨
We’ve partnered with an innovative medical robotics company to hire a Staff Systems Engineer to support the verification and validation of next-generation surgical robots.
In this role, you’ll work across multiple teams to develop requirements, conduct risk analysis, and execute V&V protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and product excellence.
📍 Austin, TX (On-site, relocation assistance available)

💸 $100,000 - $150,000 + stock options
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage system requirements from user needs
• Perform risk analysis (FMEA, hazards analysis) and ensure regulatory compliance
• Plan and execute verification and validation (V&V) protocols
• Support robot accuracy testing, biocompatibility, and sterilization verification
• Work with cross-functional teams across software, mechanical, and electrical engineering
• Maintain traceability and lifecycle documentation using ALM tools
• Ensure compliance with IEC 60601 and other medical device regulations
Skills Needed:
• 8+ years of experience in a medical device company (robotics preferred)
• Strong background in requirements analysis, FMEA, and verification protocols
• Experience with IEC 60601 and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motors, and control technologies
