Title: Tax Manager

Location: Norfolk, VA 23510

Salary: $125-175k (depending on experience)

MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of work experience in tax in public accounting
• CPA
• Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Experience with Individual, Partnership, Corporate, and Trust/Estate taxation
• Strong computer skills (i.e., Microsoft office suite, Thomson Reuters, Wolters Kluwer)
• Experience leading a tax group (1-2 years)

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a full-time Tax Manager specializing in inter-generational income tax, estate and financial planning services for Fortune 500 corporate executives and high net worth individuals. Their day-to-day will include daily communication with the managing partner and managing director in Norfolk, as well as managing workflow of multiple tax associates, and client interaction.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise tax staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Oversee tax planning, preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns.
• Review tax returns, projections and other work prepared by staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Identify and mitigate tax risk.
• Resolve tax and compliance issues with federal and state taxing authorities.
• Identify income tax savings and planning opportunities.
• Provide advice with respect to gift and estate planning.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments.
