Role Overview:

One of our large banking clients is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT professional skilled in managing the Technology Book of Work while adhering to mandated policies and procedures for governing and reporting on the status of Tech Initiatives. This role encompasses the management of risks and issues, including associated mitigation plans.

The successful candidate will liaise with numerous senior stakeholders and multiple teams to obtain the necessary information for effective Tech book-of-work initiative management and/or Change Management processes. Excellent communication skills are required for internal negotiations, especially at the senior level, as well as developed diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince colleagues in other areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the bank's policies and procedures that guide the governance of Technology Strategic Work Efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with Strategic Work Efforts policies and procedures mandated by the bank's Program Management Council.
  • Drive timely and comprehensive updates on status, Critical Success Criteria (CSC), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), risks, issues, and Path to Green for the Technology Data book-of-work Key Initiative.
  • Ensure timely remediation of findings identified by governing bodies such as the Organizational Program Management Office and/or the bank's Program Management Council.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Consent Order plan, including milestone linkages and interdependencies, to leverage knowledge for assigned areas.
  • Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior management.
  • Assess risks appropriately during business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the bank’s reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Partner, collaborate, and work with other divisions within the bank as necessary to develop optimal solutions and decisions.
  • Influence diverse stakeholders at various levels of seniority without direct reporting relationships to ensure appropriate responses and a sense of urgency.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, or technology with a focus on governance (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change management processes.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Initiative-taking, with strong attention to detail, team orientation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and people skills; capable of articulating complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
  • Strong leadership skills and influencing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize tools and processes that help track the Technology Book of Work.
  • Skill in understanding risk-reward dynamics, providing diplomatic challenges to stakeholders, and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Strong record of assessing and managing competing priorities to deliver high-quality, timely work.
  • Able to act as an agent for positive change with agility and flexibility.
  • Process mapping, consulting, and audit skills are desirable.
  • Experience in financial services and regulatory reporting is a plus.
  • Understanding of US Financial Regulatory reporting processes is a plus.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Technology/Data Management/Information Systems Certification preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory or consent order-related projects or audits is a strong plus.

**The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000**
