Job Description

Our client is a manufacturer of tool steels, high speed steels, martensitic stainless steels, powdered metals and controlled expansion alloys including aerospace grades. This company is built around manufacturing customized orders of difficult to obtain metals. They offer fast, factory direct delivery of small or large quantities, custom rolled and cut to your specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery, as well as proficiency in basic electrical tasks. Experience with PLC programming is a plus.

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery, as well as proficiency in basic electrical tasks. Experience with PLC programming is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including running conduit, panel installations, and wiring buildings with three-phase, low, and high voltage systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery such as milling machines, grinders, rolling mill equipment, and bandsaws.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Utilize PLC programming skills to diagnose and resolve issues (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting pay: $30-38 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
