Job Description

Position Summary: Perform special education services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the assigned school district. Duties may include but are not limited to case management; mentoring, developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines; supervision, evaluation and scheduling of paraeducators; participation in problem-solving teams; developing and implementing behavior intervention plans; scheduling and facilitating IEP meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Holds or is eligible for a teaching license, with an endorsement in the appropriate subject area.
• Demonstrates knowledge of subject content, specialized curriculum, and individualized methodologies for effective teaching tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Skilled in the use of multi-media and assistive technology to enhance learning for students with diverse needs.
• Able to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, administrators, and parents.
• Demonstrates skill in oral and written communications and excellent human relations skills
